“Cancer remains a major global health problem and despite research efforts made so far, we still have many challenges to overcome. Nonetheless, novel technologies have shown promise for progression in the field, such as the 3D cell cultures known as organoids. During my studies I had the opportunity to generate, use and combine these with state-of- the-art genetic engineering techniques in order to study a molecular mechanism related to stomach injury and show some of the abilities of this technology.”
