and science is full of them!

Here are some examples of science related stories and how I have shared them through my work

Everything has a story…

I created a social media presence for a startup biotech company from nothing.

Increased the number of followers and engagement with the company’s account and website.

I have written press releases on great scientific research conducted by great scientists!

(...) a privately held biotechnology company developing innovative treatments for cancer and infectious diseases, rationally designed a novel and highly effective treatment strategy to selectively kill incurable brain tumors.
— Andreia Rocha - JLP Health GmbH

I wrote news updates on projects or activities scientists worked on

“(…) experts discuss molecular drivers of obesity and how we can control them to prevent overweight and associated diseases.” -Andreia Rocha - JLP Health GmbH

and contributed with news from a company for the Vienna BioCenter’s newsletter!

The Vienna BioCenter is a large science hub in Vienna comprising more than 30 biotech companies, 6 research organisations and 3 great universities!

I collaborated with a University writing a book chapter in efforts to share science with the public

Cancer remains a major global health problem and despite research efforts made so far, we still have many challenges to overcome. Nonetheless, novel technologies have shown promise for progression in the field, such as the 3D cell cultures known as organoids. During my studies I had the opportunity to generate, use and combine these with state-of- the-art genetic engineering techniques in order to study a molecular mechanism related to stomach injury and show some of the abilities of this technology.
— Andreia Rocha - Doutoramentos e Mestrados da Universidade do Algarve - Livro de resumos I 2019-2020

I have also shared my own science stories

through art!

I was invited by the Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities to illustrate the cover and articles of the 2020 White Paper edition from the German Stem Cell Network

I collaborated with the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology in Austria with illustrations for social media and stakeholders during the holiday season

and it does not end here,
