Art and science always accompanied me in life. I began painting from an early age and after receiving my first microscope at six years old, my passions in life were set. I always viewed art as a hobby and science as a career, however, having spent time doing both I’ve realised that I could have significantly more impact by combining my passions.
The complexity of molecular biology and other scientific fields makes it difficult for the general public to understand important information, leaving knowledge and the benefits thereof untapped. The potential of using art as a bridge between scientists and the general public is underappreciated. I believe I can make a difference.
